About AMT
NSF Engines Development Award: Advancing Manufacturing and Building Construction Technologies (NSF AMT)
Development Award Focus Areas
Data collection and analysis to refine the region of service (ROS), with Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and a portion of Ohio from Cincinnati to Dayton identified based on a concentration of AM-capable and AM-practicing small-medium manufacturers (SMMs).
Small-medium business (SMB) engagement and outreach led by UofL to identify AM-capable SMBs and their technical, workforce and business gaps, as well as solutions to adopt AM within their businesses.
Workforce development grants provided by KCTCS that allow Kentucky SMBs the opportunity to train their employees on AM at no charge.
SMB Engagement
Engaging our region’s AM-capable small-medium businesses (SMBs) and their adoption of AM is key to accelerating metal AM's growth and driving meaningful economic impact. We’re conducting outreach events, focus groups and surveys to better understand needs and opportunities for supporting SMB AM adoption.
